Privacy Policy

OG Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) hereby sets forth the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to the “Policy”) to appropriately protect personal information and will follow the Policy in collecting, managing and using personal information.
For the sake of the Policy, the definitions of the terms are the same as those used in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Law”).

1. Legal compliance

The Company will faithfully comply with the relevant laws and regulations such as the Personal Information Protection Law and the Policy.

2. Types of personal information to be collected

The Company obtains the following items of personal information:

  • (1) Information for personal identification
    Name, address, zip code, gender, date of birth, phone number, email address, account ID and password and information on government-issued IDs such as driver’s license and certificate of residence
  • (2) Transactional information
    Information on transaction details and purchase history
  • (3) Payment information
    Information on bank accounts, payments and payment methods, etc.
  • (4) Information obtained from service users
    Online identifiers such as Cookie IDs, browsing history, etc.
  • (5) Other information
    Information provided for inquiries or communication with the Company

3. How the Company uses personal information

The Company uses obtained personal information for the following purposes.

  • (1) Business partners’ personal information
    • Conduct communication for business and transactional purposes
    • Place and receive orders of and accept products and materials
    • Send notifications and greetings according to social customs
    • Send sales information and announcements of events, exhibitions, etc.
    • Provide contracted services
    • Conduct investigations and make records according to laws, regulations, etc.
    • File notifications and reports to government agencies
  • (2) Shareholders’ personal information
    • Provide various guidance and information on the Company’s business
    • Pay dividends based on their shareholder status
    • Operate and make records of General Meetings of Shareholders
    • Manage shareholder information as stipulated in the Companies Act, etc.
  • (3) Applicants’ personal information
    • Contact and provide various information to job applicants (including internships)
    • Conduct hiring activities
    • Record and manage hiring process
  • (4) Employees’ and their family members’ personal information
    • Conduct business communication and pay compensations
    • Manage labor and human resources and contact other group companies
    • Conduct investigations and make records according to laws, regulations, etc.
    • File notifications and reports to government agencies

4. Provision to third parties

The Company will not provide personal information we handle to third parties except in the following cases:

  1. (i) When we have the individual’s consent
  2. (ii) When the Company outsources the handling of personal information in part or whole to a third party exclusively for the aforementioned purposes
  3. (iii) When the Company jointly uses personal information with a certain party according to the provisions set forth in the following paragraph
  4. (iv) When required by laws or regulations

The Company will use personal information within the following scope of restrictions for the purposes of use provided in paragraph “3. How the Company uses personal information.”

6. Safety control measures

The Company will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage or loss of personal information that we handle and damage to the individual’s reputation and to otherwise safely manage personal information. The specific initiatives are as follows:

  • (1) Organizational safety control measures
    The Company appoints personnel responsible for handling personal information, clarifies the employees that handle personal information and the scope of personal information handled by such employees and maintains a reporting system for reporting any identified violation or sign of violation of laws and regulations related to the Personal Information Protection Law and internal regulations.
  • (2) Human safety control measures
    The Company provides training to employees to educate them about things to remember when handling personal information.
    The Company sets forth matters regarding confidentiality of personal information in the employee rules, the written pledge for new employees, etc.
  • (3) Physical safety control measures
    The Company takes measures to prevent theft, loss, etc. of devices, electronic media, documents, etc. that contain personal information and prevent leakage of personal information when such devices, electronic media, etc. are carried within or outside the office premises.
  • (4) Technological safety control measures
    The Company implements a system to protect the information system that handles personal information from external unauthorized access or unauthorized software.

7. Request for disclosure, etc.

The Company will respond to requests to notify how we use personal information, disclose, correct, add or delete personal information or records of providing personal information to third parties or stop using or providing third parties with personal information appropriately and as quickly as reasonably possible according to the Personal Information Protection Law and other relevant laws and regulations. 8. Handling of cookies, etc.

    The Company’s website uses cookies to provide better services to visitors. These features allow the visitors’ devices to remember that they visited the Company’s website.
